Jon, his girlfriend, and her 18-year-old daughter were murdered in their home in the Santa Rosa Mountains. The crime is still under investigation. Jon was a graduate of CSU Fullerton, was divorced, and had 3 children.

Hi, my name is Bob Lyon and I knew Jon quite well at GG. We shared a history class together in our senior year. Coach Kennan was our teacher. Jon was a wonderful, witty, smart,knew what he wanted, confident,friend. He would always take some of his time and listen to you. I think that he worked on the Argo Newspaper. He was so worried about losing his hair, ha! ha! We used to laugh at all of the football jocks. Especially Doug Scheel. Doug was not very smart, and cheated on his tests. Coach Kennan would look the other way, because Doug was his "boy"! I am so sad to hear what happened to Jon and his family.........Carol Hayward (Aleson) (1971)
