Ernie passed away in 1996 at the age of 42, due to a heart attack. Ernie was the 5th of 7 children, all 7 graduated from GGHS. Ernie was married to Mary Sanders, also a GGHS graduate, and together they had three children, Patrick, Ryan and Danielle.
