Richard (Jerry) Carroll - Class Of 1971 VIEW PROFILE

Jerry Carroll passed away on May 20th 2012.

Jerry Carroll was a friend of mine since about the 4th grade. He lived on my block of Stephanie Lane, in a house full of siblings - there were always enough on hand for a game of touch football in the front yard of the Carroll house, using the alder trees as both obstacle course and "field" boundaries.  We also were known for building wheeled vehicles - we called them "go-carts" - which required two or three to push so that one rider could experience the "Go."  Again, a house full of siblings meant that you could always count on plenty of stout-hearted  cart-pushers to be there.   WH

I am writing this long after we lost Jerry but wanted to say: Jerry was one of the nicest and kindest people I ever knew. We were on Cross Country together and everyone liked him. He was a good runner, and had a gentle back and forth to his running gait, so we called him “Sway”.  We walked home together every day after practice. So glad to hear he led what sounds like a charming life. He deserved it.
