James Reitz (1971)
I just learned of Dan's passing by browsing the site here this morning. I am deeply saddened by this; Dan and I became friends when we were "benchmates" in Mr.Hart's electronics class. We seemed to share the same sense of humor, and we laughed a lot in that rowdy class. He was also a badass basketball player on the GGHS varsity; I think they called him "Mighty-mite" because he was relatively short in stature but outplayed all his opponents. I ran into him a few years after high school when I discovered he was the manager of a Carl's Jr. near where I was working in Anaheim. I would pop in there regularly for lunch and we got to go down memory lane a few times, and laugh all over again. RIP Dan; you are a genuine nice guy and one of my good memories of GGHS.
